Artist’s Statement:

“I have loved art and horses from as long as I can remember. As a child I would spend hours looking at a beautiful painting by my uncle. I knew I would be an artist someday. I learned to paint mostly through adult education classes. I became a graphic designer after attending Putnam County Vocational School. I received my arts degree from West Virginia State University. This is where I learned the layering technique used in my Ghost Horses. I have attended many informal art classes from well know artists and attending workshops. I own Art Works Studio in Cross Lanes, WV, teaching a variety of art classes to all ages. I have animal portraits in many homes throughout the United States as well as paintings of WV landscapes.”
