A native of Oklahoma with a background in interior design, Jerre entered the field of fine art in l981 and has studied with many nationally known artists. Her artworks have won numerous awards and hang in many collections in West Virginia and other states.

Her paintings are inspired by nature with a strong emphasis on composition and design. She often begins with abstract underpaintings and a creative selection of color. Her entire process is aimed at communicating a personal statement about her feeling for the spirit of nature.
