Pat Cross | West Virginia in Oils

Our featured artist for November is former Gallery Eleven member Pat Cross. A native West Virginian, Pat’s narrative oil paintings express her wonder in the terrain and people she still lives among. Her paintings are well known for their dense detail and rich colors with masterly brushwork.

Making a Splash, Oil on Canvas, framed, 14 x 12, $495.
Over the years, Pat’s oil paintings have been shown in more than 200 fine art exhibitions, and are included in art collections worldwide, especially in the US, Canada, and Australia. Her work has also been published by International Artist Magazine, Best of America Oil Artists, and by Oxford University.

Cherry Blossom Lovers, Oil on Panel, framed, 19 x 23, $925.
Most recently, Pat received a grant from the WV Division of Art, Culture, and History to create 30 artworks depicting people outdoors in and around the town of Eleanor, where she currently lives and works in her art studio. This series prompted a feature article in West Virginia Living Magazine and a solo exhibition at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg.
