A lifetime student of art, Carol’s first attempt at painting was with pastel, a good medium for both drawing and painting. These exercises lead next to a pursuit of architectural pen and ink drawings. Her formal education included earning a B.A. degree with an art major from Glenville State College. Additional training with other painters led her finally to watercolor painting and teaching.

A former member of Gallery Eleven, Carol regularly participates in local and state exhibitions through Tamarack, Allied Artists of West Virginia, and West Virginia Watercolor Society. Another branch of Carol’s art activity is her framing business. She personally mats and frames all her own works and offers these services to other artists. Recently, Carol’s art adventures have included her popular pet portrait commissions.
