Monty's artistic life began with painting portraits on commission. Then came a series of self-portraits and portrait-like figures with sly narrative implications.

His landscape paintings are typically done on site with a group of plein air painters. With their easels in tow, these intrepid artists paint individual views at various sites from spring through fall. Several of Monty's landscape paintings are also available as limited-edition art prints for sale, or as notecards. Monty's Double Wedding Ring image is also available at the gallery on limited edition totes and mugs for sale. They are among Gallery Eleven's growing collection of creative home accessories.
